Eion Crossan (born 10 May 1967 in New Zealand) originally played Rugby Union in New Zealand for Southland and Bay of Plenty between 1987 and 1996. Like a number of amateur New Zealand Rugby Union players at the time he was lured to Rugby League in Australia. He played Rugby League between 1992 & 1995 in the ARL competition, prior to the Super League War. During this time he played for the South Sydney Rabbitohs and Cronulla Sharks. He was well renowned as an accurate goal kicker at the time, and finished the 1992 season with a 78% kicking record, which was not far behind well renowned prolific goal kicker, Daryl Halligan 〔(Eion Crossan - Career Stats & Summary )〕 1993 saw Crossan playing Reserve Grade for the Rabbitohs. Despite his great goal kicking prowess, a number of oppositions teams learnt that he had a weakness in his tackling technique, and had been targeted late in the 1992 season. He also scored 11 tries.
